Beyond Conference returns
A major national event dedicated to creative innovation is returning to MediaCity in Salford this November.
Salford will once again host one of the UK’s leading events for creative innovation, as BEYOND Conference returns to MediaCity this November.
The three-day event brings together industry leaders, researchers and creators from across the world to explore the future of the creative industries. It’s known for showcasing cutting-edge immersive tech, forward-thinking research and the next generation of creative talent.
BEYOND Conference 2025 will take place from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 November, with activity across MediaCity, The Lowry, and the University of Salford’s MediaCity campus.
Councillor Hannah Robinson-Smith, Lead Member for Culture, Heritage, Equalities, Sport and Leisure, said:
It was an honour to welcome BEYOND to the city for last year’s event, and now to be confirming the return of the conference to Salford in 2025 is really exciting.
Hosting again provides us with an opportunity to build on what was achieved in 2024 and once again gives us a platform to truly shout about the amazing things happening here in Salford! It’s about continuing to champion our thriving creative sector, showcasing the city’s talent to professionals from across the world, and shouting about how important creative industries are to our city.
I know it’s unusual for a city to host more than once, so I’m pleased that the team clearly felt we were gracious hosts, embraced the experience last year, and we obviously did something right to encourage them to return.
Last year’s event saw a 120% rise in attendance. The return to Salford is supported by Salford City Council, the University of Salford and MediaCity.
This year will include the launch of the Emerging Innovators Awards and an upgraded networking app, along with a packed schedule of speakers, immersive experiences and showcases across MediaCity, The Lowry and the University of Salford’s MediaCity campus.
Professor Nic Beech, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Salford, said:
Salford is at the forefront of the creative and digital transformation – and we’re proud to help nurture the talent and research driving it forward.
Martin Chown, Managing Director at MediaCity, added:
BEYOND was a huge success last year and we’re delighted to welcome it back to MediaCity. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the innovation and talent here in Salford.
