Salford City Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has launched for summer 2025 offering free activities for children aged 4 to 16 who are eligible for benefits related free school meals.
Taking place from Monday 28 July, the programme includes a huge variety of sessions including sports, arts and crafts, drama, dance, music and cooking - with a healthy lunch included each day.
The programme is delivered in partnership with local voluntary and community organisations, with meals prepared by experienced school caterers Citywide.
Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children’s and Young People’s Services, said: “The summer holidays can be a tough time for families, especially with the rising cost of living. We’re proud to be offering free activities again this summer, giving children across Salford the chance to enjoy new experiences, stay active and have fun”
Families can now browse the available sessions and book online.
Bookings are open throughout the summer and places are available on a first come, first served basis.
