Salford’s Ceremonial Mayor, Councillor Heather Fletcher said: “Remembrance is a vital time for us to unite in honouring the courage and sacrifice of our Armed Forces personnel and their families, acknowledging their strength and dedication. We must always remember the heroes who stood against tyranny in the pursuit of peace. Salford takes pride in its rich history and strong ties with the Armed Forces community, and this year the city will host a series of remembrance events to mark this important occasion.”
