With less than one month to go until the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 kicks off, Salford is proud to be part of a nationwide celebration, as official host cities begin unveiling their Fan Zone plans.
The tournament - the biggest celebration of women’s rugby ever staged - will run from 22 August to 27 September, with matches played across eight cities. Salford will host four matches at the Salford Community Stadium, welcoming fans from near and far to be part of this global sporting event.
To mark the tournament, Fan Zones will be popping up across the country, with free events, entertainment and activities for residents, visitors and fans. Each host city is planning something unique, celebrating the local community and creating a vibrant space to enjoy matchday buzz.
In Salford, there will be an official Fan Zone at the Salford Community Stadium on matchdays, as well as a central Fan Zone at Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester offering fans even more ways to get involved and experience the tournament atmosphere.
Local venues will also be showing matches, including 11 Central and Seven Bro7hers Beerhouse in MediaCity, giving fans the chance to catch the action in a brilliant atmosphere – whether cheering on their team or soaking up the spirit of the tournament with friends.
