Salford Register Office completes move to Buile Hill Mansion

Ceremony room at Buile Hill Mansion

The council’s Register Office has moved out of the Town Hall in Swinton into the newly restored Buile Hill Mansion in Buile Hill Park.

Appointments to register births and give notice of marriage will start on Monday 30 March, while appointments to register deaths are already underway. The Register Office can also issue copies of certificates from Monday.

The first weddings have been held in the new ‘Kingslea’ ceremony room, which holds up to 80 guests and there has been a lot of interest from couples looking for a venue. The mansion has a separate function room so the wedding celebrations can continue without leaving the buildnig.

The mansion also has a café, open 7 days a week, and a community room which will shortly be available for local groups to hire.
