Councillor Heather Fletcher, said: “I think that staying silent will raise more awareness for my charities than words or speeches.

“It is a different approach and some might joke that this will be very difficult for me to complete. But  I will let my lack of words do the talking.”
In addition Councillor Fletcher has also hosting a Freddie Mercury tribute night at Buile Hill Park Banqueting Suite on Saturday 12 July. Tickets are £10 and include pie and peas.

Councillor Fletcher continued: “I have a whole host of events and fundraising activities planned for my year in office and want to do my absolute best for my local charities.

“The Freddie Mercury tribute night is another fun way to bring people together. Councillor Burch did fantastic in her year in office so I am Under Pressure but I have One Vision and that is to raise as much awareness and money for my charity as I can.”
